Double click SPYBOT > click CHECK FOR UPDATES > check items dealing with DEFINITIONS and DATABASE > click DOWNLOAD UPDATES in the menu bar at the top > when download is complete> click IMMUNIZE in left column. No action is needed if it says “All known bad products are already blocked”. If a WARNING message advises that not all known malware is blocked, click IMMUNIZE again to permanently block those products.

USING SPYBOT TO REMOVE SPYWARE FROM YOUR COMPUTER
Open Spy Bot program from the desktop
Click on SEARCH FOR UPDATES
Click on DOWNLOAD UPDATES
click to select each item which has to do with spyware one by one and click download for each in turn.
(If boxes are checked and exclamation marks and the words
“bad checksum” appear, it will be necessary to close the program and try again later to download the updates. When the updates are successfully downloaded, there will be large green checkmarks in the item boxes)
Click on SEARCH & DESTROY
Click on CHECK FOR PROBLEMS a 30ish minute scan begins
CLICK ON FIX SELECTED PROBLEMS if a list of red checked items appears
CLICK IMMUNIZE which brings up a new window
CLICK the green checked window IMMUNIZE
Running Spy Bot once a week is good preventative maintenance.
